The countdown is on for Google Cloud Next 25, the annual showcase for the company’s latest releases and innovations. While the focus will be on AI, we’re also looking forward to talking with IT leaders about how Nasuni and Google Cloud reduce costs, accelerate collaboration between distant teams, and generally optimize global unstructured data management.
Nasuni is designed for any large organization, but our partnership with Google Cloud has been particularly successful in three areas: public sector, retail, and manufacturing. Here’s a glance at what we bring to each of these industries, and what we’re excited to talk about at Google Cloud Next 25.
1. Modernizing Legacy Infrastructure in the Public Sector
If you are planning to attend Next 25, please join us for a cocktail hour reception with our partners at Carahsoft, one of the top government IT solutions providers. As co-sponsors of Carahsoft’s Public Sector Reception, we’re looking forward to networking with IT leaders from state and local government agencies. We have some really interesting stories to share about how we’re helping similar groups around the world. Thanks to Google, we’re also seeing a tremendous uptick in our business in this space.
Last year, Google validated the Nasuni File Data Platform as part of its new Assured Workloads program. As a Google Cloud Assured Workloads certified partner, Nasuni is a verified solution for organizations constrained by the strict compliance standards common to state and local government agencies.
This validation, combined with the scale, performance, and built-in security of the Nasuni platform, make it a perfect match for public sector organizations. Again, we have great stories to share about how Nasuni supports shared workloads, protects against ransomware, and reduces the cost of storing unstructured data without sacrificing fast access. For example, state and local government agencies that need to store CCTV data see a 50% reduction in hard costs on average.
2. Accelerating Collaboration & Reducing Costs in Retail
Nasuni and Google Cloud count several of the biggest brick-and-mortar department stores, a leading global luxury brand, and other major retailers as customers. One of these brands switched to Nasuni to migrate off their EOL Isilons and exit a data center. When their parent company initially suggested NetApp Cloud Volumes OnTAP (CVO) instead, they declined, wanting more out of their hybrid cloud solution.
Another leading retailer and longstanding Nasuni customer switched to Google Cloud from a previous object storage provider to drive cost savings. Other retail brands are adopting Nasuni and Google Cloud to support their marketing and design teams. Sharing and collaborating on large design or multimedia files is fast, easy, and conflict-free — even when creative teams are sitting in different parts of the world.
3. Rapid ROI & Cloud Innovation in Manufacturing
One of the leading home appliance technology brands migrated to Nasuni and Google Cloud to improve productivity across and collaboration between their global design and manufacturing hubs.
An advanced electronics manufacturer was drawn to Nasuni for the same reason, then realized immediate ROI by moving data off native file storage platforms and NetApp Cloud Volumes OnTAP. The combination of Nasuni’s intelligent caching technology with Google’s cost-effective storage allowed them to drive major savings without losing fast access to their unstructured data. Plus, they minimized their reliance on hardware, deploying 25 virtual Nasuni edge appliances in Google Cloud.
Hybrid Cloud Storage at Scale
The savings, workflow gains, and enhanced access described here apply to all industries. Nasuni is a uniquely versatile hybrid cloud storage solution that works at scale for all types of enterprises and organizations.
So, if you’re planning to attend Google Cloud Next 25, please join us at the Carahsoft Happy Hour or connect with me directly for a one-on-one. I’d be happy to share more about what Nasuni and Google Cloud do for our customers and talk about how we can help your organization. Email me at bsilva@nasuni.com or connect with me on LinkedIn.
